100 mentors + $100k in 100 days March 8-June 15, 2010
Over 300 young men have already applied to receive a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cleveland, Ohio and we do not have mentors to serve them. Our goal is to get at least 100 mentors through their challenge.
The facts are clear – there are over 20,000 female-headed households in our area. If the young men of these households don't have a good mentor now, the chances of these boys ending up in difficult situations later in life increases.
Big Brothers Big Sisters needs to raise $100,000 to support and grow the 100 mentor/child matches. Every donation, no matter the amount, can help so much!
This could possibly be one of the most fulfilling things you can do with your life. There are no special qualifications needed. There are no expenses or cash requirements. You just need a good heart, an ability to connect, listen and to give the best feedback you can. In the end, it's about two people coming together to grow in a whole new and special way.
